Capturing the Vibrant Colors of the Atlantic Forest
Itinerary
Day 1 - Meet the guide at São Paulo Airport (GRU) and transfer to the Lodge in Tapiraí-SP. The lodge offers a great experience for nature photographers, with stunning colorful birds. Several bird feeders with beautiful settings attract a large number of species.
Day 2 - Full day of bird photography at the lodge in Tapiraí-SP, with opportunities to photograph mammals.
Day 3 - Morning bird photography at the lodge in Tapiraí-SP, followed by an afternoon transfer to Iporanga-SP.
Day 4 - All-day photography at the feeders at the lodge in Iporanga-SP. An excellent location with hummingbirds, tanagers, and other radiant birds.
Day 5 - Morning visit to the Alto Ribeira Tourist State Park (PETAR). The park is considered one of the most important conservation areas in the world, housing the largest preserved portion of Atlantic Forest in Brazil and over 300 caves; where we will see many forest birds. In the afternoon, transfer to the Lodge in Miracatu-SP.
Day 6 - Full day of photography at the lodge; The lodge in Miracatu-SP is a birdwatching hotspot located in a preserved section of the Atlantic Forest, close to an area that includes State Parks and Conservation Units. Afternoon transfer to Salesópolis-SP.
Day 7 - Full day photographing at the feeders and the water source at the lodge, focusing on beautiful colorful birds. We will also visit hides with very interesting shy forest birds.
Day 8 - Morning bird photography at the lodge in Salesópolis-SP, then end of the tour, with transfer to São Paulo Airport (GRU).
