The Atlantic Forest, one of the most biodiverse biomes in the world, is home to an incredible variety of life, including the stunning birds known as hummingbirds. With their vibrant colors and agile movements, these small winged creatures are true jewels of nature.
Hummingbirds have extraordinary adaptations that allow them to lead a unique lifestyle. Their beaks, long and thin in some species, short and robust in others, are perfect tools for reaching the nectar hidden inside flowers. The vibrant colors of their feathers, which vary from species to species, serve as visual signals to attract mates and mark territories. In addition, their wings, which beat up to 80 times per second, allow for hovering flights and impressive acrobatic maneuvers, essential for capturing insects and feeding on nectar.
On our photo tour, we will visit places that are abundant in hummingbirds, with many opportunities for spectacular photos. Check out our photo gallery.
